Christopher Ferraro, the 2nd hitter of the afternoon set the pace with 6 homeruns. He was later challenged by many hitters as Ronnie Andrews had 4 homeruns and then Chris Souza had 5 homeruns but it was last years runner up Kyle Kasprzyk who also hit 6 homeruns and then Zachary Zaino who also hit 6 homeruns that caused a 3 way tie pushing the competition into another round.. The players were allowed 10 outs in the first round while the second round was a five out competition. Christopher Ferraro led off and homeruns sailed over the fence totaling 5 in this round for a total of 11 homeruns. Next up Kyle Kasprzyk hit 2 more for a total of 8 and then Zachary Zaino finished with 1 more for a total of 7 leaving Christopher Ferraro as this years champion.. The five hitters mentioned above as well as the top 5 fundraisers are invited to attend a baseball clinic given by the Falmouth Commodores on Saturday July 7th at 1:00 prior to the Commodores game with Y-D. The players invited to the clinic include: Christopher Ferraro, Kyle Kasprzyk, Zachary Zaino, Chris Souza, Ronnie Andrews, top fundraiser Robbie Anderson, Brett Moniz, Jess Miller, Ben Crago, and Ryan Lino, and Justin Beard.
After the event the fundraising raffle was held and first prize, a pair of EMC Pavilion seats to a Red Sox game was won by father and son, John and Adam Thackston. Enjoy the game.
